Galaxy M51 Vs OnePlus Nord

Design: Plastic Vs Glass

Galaxy M51 comes inside a polycarbonate body that looks good. The phone has a plastic back panel and a plastic frame as well.

On the other hand, the Nord sports a glass back panel that too with Gorilla Glass 5 protection. However, it also has a plastic frame. Obviously, Nord is better in this regard.

Samsung’s phone is quite thicker and heavier because of a big battery. It has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. One hand feel of the phone is still alright.

The OnePlus Nord is a little bit slimmer and also lighter than the Galaxy M51. This makes it the one-hand feel of this phone feel a little better.

On the front, the phone looks similar to other Samsung phones with a single punch hole in the middle.

The Nord has a dual punch-hole display at the front. OnePlus also has an under-display fingerprint scanner.

Overall, OnePlus Nord has a better build and looks.

Display: Refresh Rate Matters?

The Galaxy M51 sports a 6.7-inch Full HD+ (2400 x 1080 pixels) Infinity-O type Super AMOLED Plus display. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

The OnePlus Nord sports a 6.44-inch (1080 x 2400 pixels) Full HD+ Fluid AMOLED display. It has Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.

However, the main difference between the two displays is the refresh rate. OnePlus Nord comes with a 90Hz refresh rate display while Galaxy M51 still has a regular 60Hz screen.

Still, when it comes to comparison, Galaxy M51 looks more colorful with rich colors and more brightness. The refresh rate may not matter that much for a daily user.

The M51 is powered by the Snapdragon 730G 8nm processor with Adreno 618 GPU and paired with up to 8GB LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB UFS 2.1 storage. Its storage is also expandable up to 512GB via a micro SD.

Software: One UI Vs Oxygen OS

The Galaxy M51 runs on Android 10 based One UI 2.1 on top. The new UI from the company is lightweight and offers a good user experience. However, there are a few bloatware related issues in the new UI.

OnePlus Nord runs the Oxygen OS, which offers close to stock Android experience. It comes with added customization options and feels light with less bloatware.

Galaxy M51 has a quad rear camera setup with a 64MP Sony IMX682 sensor with f/1.8 aperture, a 12MP 123° ultra-wide-angle camera, a 5MP depth sensor, and a 5MP macro camera.

OnePlus is using the same 48MP Sony IMX 586 sensor from some mid-range phones. Other cameras include an 8MP ultra-wide camera, a 5MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth camera.

When it comes to camera comparison, definitely Galaxy M51 offers better results.
